We Remove Garden Waste — Nothing Else

Most so-called “garden waste removal” companies in Singapore will take anything you put in front of them — old sofas, broken fridges, half a kitchen renovation. That mixed-load model is slow, expensive and often dumps illegally because they have nowhere licensed to take the household rubbish.

We don’t do that. Our trucks, our routes and our disposal partners are set up for one thing: horticulture waste. That focus is what keeps our pricing fair, our turnaround fast and our disposal fully compliant with NEA regulations.

What We Collect

  • Tree branches, trimmings and prunings
  • Tree stumps and large roots
  • Dried leaves and dead foliage
  • Grass clippings from mowing
  • Hedge cuttings and shrub trimmings
  • Uprooted plants and weeds
  • Excavated soil from garden works
  • Old turf and grass roll-up
  • Garden bark, mulch and woodchip
  • Coconut husks, durian husks (no wet/rotten)
  • Old planting medium and potting soil

What We Don’t Collect

  • Household furniture (sofas, beds, mattresses)
  • Electronics and appliances (fridges, washers)
  • Construction debris (concrete, bricks, tiles)
  • Hazardous materials or chemicals
  • Plastic flower pots in large quantity (we can advise)
  • General household rubbish
  • Renovation waste
  • Office and commercial bulk waste
  • Wet, rotten or pest-infested coconut

For non-garden waste, please contact a licensed general waste collector. We can recommend one if needed.

Why Pricing Varies

Disposal cost is not a fixed number. It depends on four real-world factors. We’re transparent about this because the alternative — pretending every job is the same — leads to surprise charges on invoice day.

Four Factors That Determine Your Quote

📦

Volume

How much you have. We measure in cubic metres or pickup-truck loads. A pile that fits in half a pickup costs less than a full lorry. Photos help us scope quickly.

⚖️

Weight

Dense waste like soil, sand, stumps and wet trimmings is heavier per cubic metre than dry leaves and branches. Disposal facilities charge by weight, so we do too.

🌳

Type of Waste

Stumps need chipping, soil needs sealed transport, mixed waste needs sorting before tipping. Pure green waste costs less to dispose of than soil-mixed loads.

🚪

Way of Access

Truck pulls up to the gate? Standard rate. Long carry through narrow walkways, upper-floor balconies, lift access, Sentosa or shipyard locations? Surcharge applies.

How We Quote Accurately Without a Site Visit

For most residential jobs, send 2 to 3 photos of the waste pile and your gate access on WhatsApp. We’ll come back with a firm quote within the same working day. For larger commercial or MCST projects, we send a supervisor down to walk the site (free of charge) before quoting.

Types of Horticulture Waste We Handle

Every garden waste situation is a bit different. Here’s how we typically approach the most common jobs.

Tree Branches and Trimmings

From routine pruning, heavy rain damage, or pre-Chinese New Year tidy-ups. Light branches load fast. Larger limbs over 100mm diameter take longer because they need cutting down for transport. If you’ve also had tree work done, we can chip on-site for a tidier collection.

Tree Stumps and Roots

Heavier than they look. A single mature mango stump can weigh 200kg. We bring proper lifting equipment for stumps over 80kg and quote per stump where stump-grinding is needed before removal.

Grass Clippings and Lawn Waste

Fresh clippings are wet and heavy — a small pile weighs more than you’d think. Dry leaves are bulky but light. We’ll often combine grass cutting from our grass cutting service with same-day disposal to save you a separate booking.

Soil, Sand and Excavated Material

Soil is the heaviest waste type by far. A cubic metre of damp soil weighs around 1,500kg. Pricing reflects weight and the need for sealed transport. If soil is contaminated or mixed with construction material, we cannot collect — different licensing required.

Old Turf and Lawn Roll-Up

When we re-lay a lawn through our turfing service, the old turf needs removal. Heavy because of attached soil. Most turf removal jobs run a standard or heavy load depending on lawn size.

Leaves, Mulch and Garden Bark

Light volume, easy to load. Often the cheapest disposal jobs. Common after seasonal cleanups, before major events, or when redoing planting beds.

Hedge and Shrub Trimmings

Routine work for landed homes with bougainvillea, hibiscus, or palm fronds. Bag it or pile it — we’ll take it.

Coconut and Durian Husks

Yes — but only if dry. Wet coconut attracts pests and isn’t accepted at most facilities. If yours have been sitting wet, we’ll need to assess before quoting.

How Horticulture Waste Disposal Works With Us

1.Send us photos and your address

WhatsApp 2 to 3 photos of the waste pile, plus a photo of your gate or access point. Mention any tricky access (lift only, narrow side gate, distance from where the truck can park).

2. Get a firm quote the same working day

We come back with a fixed price based on the four factors. No “starting from” pricing. The number we quote is the number on the invoice — assuming the actual load matches the photos, which it almost always does.

3. We schedule and collect

Most residential collections within 2 to 5 working days. Urgent same-day collection sometimes possible for small loads if you call before 11am. Larger commercial bookings allow 5 to 7 working days for container deployment.

4. Licensed disposal — receipt on request

Waste goes to NEA-approved facilities for incineration, composting or chipping into mulch and biochar. Disposal certificate available for commercial clients on request (3 working days lead time).

Horticulture Waste Disposal FAQs

What counts as horticulture waste?

Horticulture waste, also called garden waste or green waste, is any organic material from gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance. This includes leaves, grass clippings, branches, tree trimmings, stumps, roots, weeds, dried foliage, soil, sand, mulch, and uprooted plants. It does not include household rubbish, construction debris, furniture, electronics or general waste.

How quickly can you remove garden waste?

Most residential collections are scheduled within 2 to 5 working days. Urgent same-week and next-day removals are usually possible if you call us by mid-morning. For larger commercial volumes requiring open-top container deployment, allow 5 to 7 working days for the bin to arrive.

Why does pricing depend on volume, weight, type and access?

Volume determines truck space. Weight matters because dense waste like soil and stumps is charged differently from light waste like leaves. Type matters because some waste needs special handling — stumps need chipping, soil needs sealed transport. Access matters because narrow gates, long carries, upper-floor balconies and Sentosa or shipyard locations all require more time and labour.

Where does the garden waste go?

Singapore’s horticulture waste is processed at NEA-approved facilities. Most green waste is incinerated at waste-to-energy plants. A portion is composted or chipped into mulch and biochar at recycling facilities like Sarimbun Recycling Park. We use licensed disposal partners and never fly-tip or dump waste illegally.

Do you provide skip bins or open-top containers?

For larger commercial projects we can arrange skip bin or open-top container deployment through licensed waste disposal partners. For most residential and mid-size jobs we use our own trucks with hand-loaded collection — it works out cheaper and is faster than waiting for a bin.

Will you cut down trees and remove the waste?

Tree cutting and waste removal are different services. We can arrange both as a combined booking. The disposal portion is what this page covers. For tree removal itself, we follow NParks guidelines and pull permits for protected trees.

Do I need to bag or pile the waste myself before you arrive?

Pile it near our truck access if you can — it makes the collection faster and cheaper. If you can’t, we’ll handle the gathering ourselves. Just let us know in advance so we send the right manpower.

Can you collect during weekends or after hours?

Saturday collection is part of our standard service. Sunday and public holiday collection is available on request and carries an out-of-hours surcharge. Most clients book weekday morning slots which are the cheapest and fastest to schedule.
