Office manager doesn’t start the day worried about the health of their plants. Leases, IT requests, that one printer in the third floor corner that never seems to function are what’s on the list. And plants? They’re supposed to look good, stay green, never embarrass you in front of a potential client. That’s the benchmark.
It’s the same benchmark we’ve been hitting with Singapore offices since 2010. It’s been 15 years, and here’s what we’ve learned, and how that can help you.

Plants that can survive Singapore aircon. Many don’t. Eight hours a day, between eight and five, the temperature at 22 degrees centigrade, the humidity lowered – within six weeks half the leaves have fallen off. But we have a list of hard-won survivors, and a few trusted types who have done well in office life in Raffles Place towers, Tanjong Pagar shophouses, and Tuas industrial premises. No surprises on the replacement list.

A single contract for all. Deliveries, installations, fortnightly maintenance, replacements, fertiliser, pest treatments, plant cleaning, seasonal switches. There are no additional costs if something dies; no surprise phone calls asking if you’d like “additional fertilisation fees.” The cost that’s listed on our site is the cost that you’ll pay.

The maintenance team is on our payroll. That means it’s not outsourced. Not a contractor. Not a freelancer. The same couple of staff will work at your office regularly throughout the course of your contract. They’ll know which plant needs replacing, which one gets moved about by the janitorial team, and which one your CFO has taken a personal interest in.

Our own nursery stocks the rental inventory. All our plants are acclimatised in a nursery in the northern part of Singapore, and conditioned to the indoor environment for several weeks before they’re even shipped. This means that your office doesn’t receive an unhealthy plant which starts shedding leaves the moment it arrives.

From 3 to 12 months – that’s where we shine. Many companies offer plant hire for events. It’s a good business. We do it as well. But that’s not where our expertise lies. The majority of our clients rent their plants on the basis of long term contracts, where we install a full plant programme, service it regularly, change out some of the species seasonally, and quietly improve it over the course of the contract.

Our regular client list runs across most of the island. The biggest concentration is in the CBD — Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Tanjong Pagar, Shenton Way — where we maintain plants in legal firms, fund managers, tech companies, and a few co-working operators. Outside the CBD we cover Orchard, Bugis, Paya Lebar, one-north, the Jurong business parks, the Tuas industrial estates, and most of the heartlands where corporate offices sit above retail.

Each package includes the following fundamental service, while the difference lies solely in the quantity and capacity of plants: No hidden fees, surcharges for emergency calls.

On-site visit and consultation

Prior to the delivery of plants, a visit to your office will be arranged to inspect the existing conditions of lighting, traffic, ceiling height, and functionality of the location. After the assessment, you will receive a detailed proposal document along with the list of plants, the designated planting spots, and a picture of the type of the planter. Your feedback will be taken into consideration, and the proposal will be amended. There is no payment required at this stage.

Plant delivery and installation

Upon signing up, the installation will be conducted by our professionals, who will deliver all the necessary components. The plants will be delivered in their planters, already potted and watered. Depending on the number of plants and other factors, the installation process typically takes one to two hours. We will install plants outside your work hours in case you would prefer to avoid disturbing your colleagues.

Bi-weekly maintenance visits

Our specialists will conduct biweekly maintenance visits, each lasting between 30 to 60 minutes depending on the number of plants. The list of services includes:
• Proper irrigation of each plant (overwatering is the primary reason why most office plants die)
• Maintenance pruning of yellowish or damaged leaves
• Leaf cleaning to remove dust accumulation (this is extremely important for both health and aesthetic considerations)
• Scheduled fertilization
• Detection and treatment of pests, should they appear
• Rotation of plants to ensure even growth

Free plant replacements

Should a plant decline, exhibit signs of wilting, or fail to thrive in its location, it will be replaced free of charge and without any questions asked. The replacement will take place at the time of the next maintenance visit. The exception is cases of willful plant damage, such as pouring coffee onto the soil or breaking off stems due to climbing on top of planters.

Seasonal and festive rotations.

Most clients opt for seasonal rotation during events such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, end-of-year client visits, and product launches. We will introduce flowering plants such as orchids, anthuriums, and bromeliads during the event, replacing them with greenery afterward. Small fee applies.

How much does office plant rental cost in Singapore?

Our plans start at $150 a month for a small office (around 10 to 15 staff). The mid tier is $200 a month and our premium tier is $400 a month for larger floors. All tiers include delivery, installation, bi-weekly maintenance and free plant replacement. The exact mix of floor plants, tabletop plants and hanging plants depends on your space, so we’ll do a free site visit before quoting.

What’s the minimum contract length?

Our standard plan runs 3 to 12 months. Most clients sign for 12 because the per-month rate works out cheaper and the plants get to settle in properly. We also do short-term rental for events, corporate functions and showroom launches — minimum one week.

Do you handle the watering and care?

Yes. That’s the whole point. Our team visits every two weeks to water, prune, dust the leaves, fertilise and check for pests. You don’t water anything. You don’t replace anything. If a plant looks unhappy, we swap it out at no extra cost.

What if a plant dies?

We replace it free. As long as it’s not been intentionally damaged, plant replacement is included in every plan. We use plants that we’ve already grown out at our nursery so they’re acclimatised to indoor office conditions before they ever reach you.

Which areas in Singapore do you cover?

Islandwide. We service offices in CBD (Raffles Place, Marina Bay, Tanjong Pagar), Orchard, the heartlands and the industrial parks. Our team is on the road 5 to 6 days a week so scheduling is flexible.

Can I choose the plants myself or do you decide?

Both. Some clients want to pick from our catalogue. Others prefer us to recommend based on lighting, foot traffic and the office’s interior style. On the site visit we’ll bring sample photos and walk through it with you.

What’s the difference between buying and renting office plants?

When you buy, you own the plants but you also own the upkeep — watering schedules, replacements when they die, repotting, pest control. When you rent, all of that is included in a single monthly fee. Most office managers we speak to don’t want a junior staff member doubling as the office gardener. We’ve written more on this here.

Do you do green walls and large plants?

Yes. Floor plants up to about 1.8 metres are common in our rentals. For larger statement pieces or full green walls we have a separate plantation and design team — check our vertical garden service for that.

Can we change plants seasonally or for events?

Absolutely. Many clients ask us to swap in flowering plants like orchids during Chinese New Year, festive seasons, client visits or a product launch. Seasonal swaps are included in the premium plan and available as add-ons on other plans.

How quickly can you set up?

Once a plan is signed, installation usually happens within 5 to 7 working days. For urgent cases — new office opening, last-minute event — we can move faster. Just call us.
